Tom has been connecting children to the natural world through the power of science education for almost twenty years. He graduated from Warren Wilson College with a Bachelor's of Science in Conservation Biology, and has a passion for the art of teaching.
As an almost two time finisher of the Appalachian trail, Tom knows what it takes to set a goal and see it through, and it is his joy to help each and every child climb the mountain that is Middle school. In his free time you can find him hiking, playing drums, or reading a good book. Tom is super proud to be part of the Shining Rock family.
