Tom has been connecting children to the natural world through the power of science education for over twenty years. He graduated from Warren Wilson College with a Bachelor's of Science in Conservation Biology, and has a passion for the art of teaching. In his free time you can find him hiking, playing drums, and seeking joy! Tom is a proud Falcon, and is grateful to be part of the Shining Rock family.
As an almost two time finisher of the Appalachian trail, Tom knows what it takes to set a goal and see it through, and it is his joy to help each and every child climb the mountain that is Middle school.
