Amy is in her second year teaching fourth grade at SRCA. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in History from Appalachian State University in 2004, she served in the U.S. Army for six years before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her five amazing children. Several years ago, she felt called to the classroom and began working as a substitute teacher while returning to college to study Early Childhood Education. When she’s not in school, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and camping with her kids and her dog, Max, as well as playing sports like running, soccer, and volleyball. Her favorite thing about SRCA is the way its Core Values are consciously lived and taught every day.
