Karina moved to Haywood County in 2020 from the Finger Lakes region of New York. She graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY with a BA in History and dually certified to teach elementary education and secondary history. She has spent time in numerous classrooms, including traditional classrooms and the outdoor classroom of summer camp, over the years and even homeschooled her two children for a time. Karina joined the Shining Rock Classical Academy family in 2023 as the business teacher in the high school. The small school atmosphere helps her to feel right at home at SRCA. She enjoys getting to know each of her students and can see that they each have something valuable to offer to our learning community.
