Mrs. Penland has been teaching EC at Shining Rock for 5 years. She teaches EC for grades kindergarten through third grade. She is also the WINGS Afterschool Director. Mrs. Penland received her Bachelor's degree from East Carolina University and her Master's degree from Western Carolina University in Adapted Curriculum Special Education. Mrs. Penland enjoys working with the general education teachers and families to ensure that her students are getting what they need to be successful academically and socially.
