I am a graduate of Mars Hill University with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. Education has been part of my life as long as I can remember. I have served as a teacher, teacher assistant, and even bus driver. This is my 10th year teaching and my 3rd year here at Shining Rock Classical Academy. I have taught Pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grades.
My mother told me that I decided to become a teacher when I was 5 years old. I would line up all of my stuffed animals and teach them the ABC's and how to write. My 4th-grade teacher told me that I would be a great teacher, I had the pleasure to work with her as a teacher assistant. These special influences stuck with me and here I am a teacher.
